Policy on Plagiarism
The Editorial Team of Algoritme Journal of Informatics Engineering Students acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy which states specific actions (punishments) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in Algoritme Journal of Informatics Engineering Students. Therefore, before submitting, Algoritme recommends Authors to check plagiarism independently. If the article is accepted, Algoritme will conduct a plagiarism check before publication. Algoritme Journal uses turnitin tools to check plagiarism and the tolerance limit is 35%.

If plagiarism is identified, then the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve actions based on the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Level of Plagiarism:

  1. Copying short sentences from other articles without citing the source.

Action: The author is given a warning and asked to revise the text and cite correctly.

  1. Copying most of another article without proper citation and not citing the source.

Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in Algoritme Journal of Informatics Engineering Students and the author may be sanctioned from publishing in Algoritme Journal of Informatics Engineering Students.

All authors of the article are responsible for the content they submit. If an article is found to be plagiarized, then all authors will face the same action.
