Algoritme Journal is a scientific publication that contains research results in the field of Computer Science and Technology that have not been previously published. This scientific ethics statement is a code of ethics statement for all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely the manager, editor, peer reviewer, and author. This scientific publication ethics statement is based on the Head of LIPI Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. The essence of this Scientific Publication Ethics upholds three ethical values in publications, namely:

Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the publication management; Fairness, which gives the right to authorship to those who are entitled as authors/writers; and Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief:

Determining the journal name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary. Determining editor membership. Defining the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties. Respecting confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers. Applying norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights. Reviewing journal policies and communicating them to authors/writers, editors, peer reviewers, and readers. Creating a code of conduct guide for editors and peer reviewers. Publishing the journal regularly. Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publications. Building a network of cooperation and marketing. Improving the quality of the journal. Preparing licenses and other legal aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor:

The editor provides comments on the author's writing so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written on the manuscript and/or discussion facilities on the journal's website. The editor provides comments on the author's writing in accordance with the EYD (Improved Spelling System) or the language that is in accordance with the journal's standardization. The editor strives for sustainable quality improvement of publications. The editor prioritizes freedom of opinion objectively. The editor conveys corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if necessary. The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve SARA or anything that may harm the publisher, and coordinates the author's writing with the publisher's editorial leadership if the writing is slightly controversial. The editor receives, reviews, and follows up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publications. The editor supports initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics. The editor does not defend their own opinion, author, or third party that could lead to an unobjective decision. The editor encourages authors to make improvements to their written works until they are worthy of publication. The editor designs the manuscript layout that will be published to fit the journal's template. The editor assists the Editor-in-Chief in finalizing the collection of manuscripts before printing and publication, especially in terms of language, format, and layout.

Duties and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers:

Providing written feedback that is objective and unbiased about the scientific value and contribution of the manuscript to the development of science; Indicating whether the manuscript is sufficiently clear, complete, and relevant, and whether it is in accordance with the journal's scope; Not providing criticism or comments that are personal; and Maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscript, by not discussing it with unrelated parties or revealing information contained in the manuscript to others.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors:

Ensuring that the submitted manuscript is the original work of the authors. The manuscript must be clearly and concisely written, and avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism. All sources used in writing the manuscript must be referenced appropriately.
